Dive Boats
Get to Roatan’s Best Diving Sites in Comfort
Coco View’s fleet of 6 dive boats consists of four 50ft boats which are unique to the industry, they were originally built for the US Navy, but we have redesigned and re-powered the vessels especially for our scuba diving guests.
Each of these dive boats has been designed specifically for easy entry and exit, with exits mid-ship and aft, an aft swim platform with duel ladders and a mid-ship entry way (our own invention) that allows divers to enter straight up through the keel.
In addition to these four boats CoCo View has a new 45’ high speed dive boat, this boat has 900 horse power to get you to far away dive destinations on our all day 3 tank lunch included trips. We also have the “The Reef Nut”, this is the oldest boat in our fleet (and Mitch’s favorite Boat), she is 45’ long comfortable fast and very sturdy.
Our boat captains and crews are dedicated professionals who work hard to make your scuba diving trips pleasant and relaxing.
Boat Dives
There are two boat trips that depart from CoCo View daily, which means you get up to four tank dives from the boat if you do a drop-off on the way home.
Many of our dive sites are great for snorkeling too, so snorkelers are also welcome on the boats. Hop on board and come enjoy the fun!
Night Diving

Explore coral reefs and walls or venture onto the wreck of the Prince Albert.
Boat Dives at Night
Boat diving at night can be specially arranged after arrival at the resort for an additional charge per person. A minimum of 8 divers must sign up for this boat trip. These night boat dives are weather permitting.
One of our scuba dive masters will take you to a great Roatan dive site. Better bring your camera - you never know what you might see!
Wreck Diving
Dive Roatan’s Prince Albert Wreck
The Prince Albert, a 140 foot tanker, was intentionally sunk in 1985, right in the “Front Yard”. Originally owned by Nicaraguans, the tanker was used to transport Nicaragua war refugees to Roatan, where it was eventually stripped of valuables and left partially submerged
Seeing the opportunity to turn this hazard into a new diving site for the island and his guests, Bill Evans, CoCo View’s founder, secured the necessary government permission to transport, and with the help of Doc Radawski, sink the tanker in front of the resort.
Currently sitting upright in 65 feet of water, the tanker is in remarkably good shape, with many years of algae and soft coral growth covering its large hull. Many fish species also call the cavernous channels and hollows of the tanker home.
Experience this wreck as a drop-off dive from the boat on your way home, or as a shore dive directly off our beach. The wreck of the Prince Albert is also a very popular Roatan night dive.
